I am going to start introducing myself; my name is Adriana Flores de Rojo and I was born in Tijuana, Mexico. I made my elementary school and secundaria (highschool) in Tijuana. I have two kids, my boy who is in the picture and a daughter. They are five and nine years old.
In 1987 I receive my diploma as a technician in computers, after study a short career for two years. Then I worked for seven years in Tijuana as an assistant at two schools in the computer laboratory, helping kids to learn how to use the software. We always used PCs. In 1997 I was married, and left the world of computers for long time. Five years ago I came to United States and in 2004 I return to school at Palomar College, I used Microsoft Office to do my homework. I recognize that technology advances every day, now I feel that there are a lot of new material to learn.
I think that it is very important to be update with the technology. We, as further educators have the responsibility to be prepared with the available tools to continue the transformation of public education.
